The Hadenys model is an open-back, passive headphone, allowing for an enriched experience in the comfort of your living room. They are influenced by the earthy tones of the Hadean eon, characterized by a natural brown color scheme and Focal’s distinct honeycomb grilles. The use of genuine leather and a breathable woven fabric for the headband and yoke ensures they are both comfortable and lightweight.

On the other hand, the Azurys model is designed for both home and mobile use. These are passive, closed-back headphones, aimed at audiophiles seeking the Focal sound in a more portable form. Sharing design elements with the Hadenys, the Azurys are finished in a distinctive blue shade reminiscent of the azurite gemstone, known for its deep and captivating azure colors, adding a unique visual allure to the headphones.

Both the Hadenys and Azurys utilize the same advanced dynamic drivers found in Focal’s earlier Bathys model, which debuted in October 2022 as the brand’s first wireless headphones featuring active noise cancellation. These 40mm drivers include an aluminum/magnesium dome shaped in Focal’s iconic ‘M’ design, now fine-tuned for these new models to deliver a sound that is both warm and rich in detail.

Each pair of headphones is accompanied by a color-coordinated carrying case and all essential cables. The Hadenys and Azurys will hit the market in June 2024, with the Hadenys priced at $699 and the Azurys available for $549.
