JetBlue's Blueprint Brings Personalized Entertainment to the Air
JetBlue has launched a new in-flight entertainment system named Blueprint, which is now being installed across the airline's Airbus A321neo, A321LR, A220, and many of its revamped A320 aircraft equipped with updated interiors. The implementation began recently and is expected to be completed by next month.
Blueprint introduces several features aimed at enhancing the passenger experience. One notable function allows passengers to resume watching a movie or TV show from where they left off on a previous flight, with this capability extending up to six months.
The system also tailors content recommendations based on a user's past viewing habits and allows them to store preferences for movies and TV shows to watch on subsequent flights. Users can also set and save preferences like volume, language, parental controls, and closed captioning, which can be automatically applied to future flights.
Another unique feature of Blueprint is the Watch Party option, which enables up to six people to view the same content simultaneously, with synchronized play and pause functions across all connected devices.
While using Blueprint does not require passengers to log in, those who wish to have their preferences saved across flights need to provide their name and date of birth. JetBlue assures that this information will remain confidential and not be used for any other purposes.
Beyond entertainment, Blueprint also enhances travel convenience by providing passengers with updates on connecting flight details and gate information, an option to select meals in the business class Mint cabins on Airbus A321neo aircraft, and the opportunity to join the TrueBlue loyalty program.
