Sony Electronics has unveiled its 2024 lineup of BRAVIA TVs, introducing four new models. The lineup includes the high-end BRAVIA 9 Flagship Mini LED, the BRAVIA 8 OLED, the BRAVIA 7 Mini LED, and the more accessible BRAVIA 3 LED. These models are currently available for pre-order in the U.S. and will soon be available in Canada.

In conjunction with the new TVs, Sony has also launched the BRAVIA Theater range of home audio products, aiming to consolidate its home entertainment systems under one brand.

The highlight of the lineup, the BRAVIA 9 Flagship Mini LED, stands out as Sony's brightest 4K TV to date. It features XR Backlight Master Drive technology, which enhances brightness and color accuracy significantly over its predecessors. According to the company, this model is approximately 50% brighter and contains about 325% more dimming zones than the 2023 X95L model. It also includes features such as X-Wide Angle, X-Anti Reflection, and Acoustic Multi-Audio+ with upward firing Beam Tweeters, making it the first TV globally to offer such advanced audio integration.

All three top models—the BRAVIA 9, BRAVIA 8, and BRAVIA 7—are equipped with the intelligent XR Processor. This processor improves picture quality by analyzing each frame for color accuracy and detail, thereby optimizing overall visual realism. These TVs support XR Triluminos Pro, which can display billions of colors, enhancing the viewer's experience by maintaining fidelity to the creator's intent.

To further the cinematic experience, these TVs feature Studio Calibrated Pictures modes. These settings, including Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode, SONY PICTURES CORE Calibrated Mode, and the new Prime Video Calibrated Mode. The Prime Video Calibrated Mode is particularly notable as it extends optimal calibration to live sports, a first for these models.

Both BRAVIA TVs and BRAVIA Theater audio products support IMAX Enhanced and are certified by IMAX and DTS. The integration of SONY PICTURES CORE and select Disney+ films enhances this experience.

New additions to the BRAVIA series also include Voice Zoom 3, which uses AI to identify and adjust dialogue volumes in real time which can be controlled via the BRAVIA Connect App.
