Reddit is taking steps to overcome language barriers with the help of AI. The platform announced that users in over 35 countries will soon be able to automatically translate their entire feeds. This feature, first introduced in France, is now being extended to Brazil and Spain, enabling users to translate their feeds and comments into Portuguese and Spanish with a simple click on the translate icon found in the overflow menu.

Unlike some other social platforms, Reddit's new tool automates the translation process for the entire feed, rather than requiring users to translate each post individually. Users can also post and comment in their own language, which will be automatically translated into the community's preferred language, ensuring smoother interactions.

This new feature is available on the Reddit app, mobile browser, and desktop. Reddit has plans to expand the service in the coming weeks to countries including Germany, Italy, the Philippines, and various regions in Latin America. The platform will also introduce a banner to indicate translated posts, along with a quick button to switch back to the original content, addressing potential translation inaccuracies.

In another planned update, Reddit aims to make translated posts more visible on search engines, further improving accessibility for global users.
