Marantz Reveals Its Newest Flagship Model: The Cinema 30 AV Receiver
Marantz has just introduced its new flagship Cinema 30 which is priced at $4,500 and currently listed as "coming soon" on Marantz.com.
The Cinema 30 boasts 11 channels of Class AB power and the capability to process up to 13.4 channels, made possible with an additional outboard amplifier. It features seven HDMI inputs, six of which support 8K. The AVR also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ high dynamic range (HDR) and is equipped to handle various Dolby and DTS surround-sound formats, including immersive Dolby Atmos and DTS:X/DTS:X Pro object-based decoding. It also features processing for Auro-3D and has an IMAX Enhanced mode for IMAX-compatible content playback.
In terms of power output, the Cinema 30 is rated at 140 watts into 8 ohms with two channels driven. Beneath the surface, the Cinema 30 utilizes a dual DSP chipset from Analog Devices SHARC and a 32-bit ESS Sabre DAC.
The features include a 32-bit ESS Sabre digital-to-analog converter (DAC), Audyssey MultiEQ XT32 room calibration featuring Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume, and an optional Dirac Live upgrade. The device supports DSD audio, and streaming capabilities include integration with the HEOS multiroom platform, AirPlay 2, and Bluetooth. Popular music services like Spotify Connect, Amazon Music HD, Tidal, Pandora, SiriusXM, and TuneIn internet radio are also supported. The Cinema 30 is also Roon Tested.
The Cinema 30 is slightly larger than the Cinema 40 and weighs approximately 43 pounds. Among its connections, the Cinema 30 includes four independent subwoofer outputs, a moving magnet (MM) phono, and a front-panel USB-A input. It also is compatible with voice control through Google, Alexa, and Apple HomePod, along with remote control options through the Marantz AVR App.
This receiver will be available in black or silver, and is backed by a five-year warranty.
