Lenbrook Corp has recently completed the acquisition of MQA, a UK-based pioneer in the realm of high-resolution audio encoding. The move adds a wealth of intellectual property to Lenbrook's portfolio, including significant patents and two major audio codecs—MQA and SCL6. This development is a testament to Lenbrook's ongoing dedication to innovation and quality in an ever-changing audio technology market.

MQA, which stands for Master Quality Authenticated, came into existence with the backing and insights of various industry stakeholders, including record industry executives, recording artists, and experts in audio engineering. At a time when the broader industry was moving toward more compressed audio formats, MQA aimed to offer a high-resolution alternative. Their mission was to provide artists and creators a platform that could capture and preserve the intricate details of their work.

As part of the acquisition, Lenbrook has retained key staff from MQA, ensuring a smooth transition and continued progress on ongoing projects. Among these retained employees is Andy Dowell, who formerly served as MQA's Head of Licensing and will continue to spearhead business development initiatives.

This strategic acquisition allows Lenbrook to consolidate its position in the high-resolution audio space, further reinforcing its commitment to delivering exceptional audio experiences. It also ensures that MQA’s technologies and partnerships have a stable platform for future growth and development, solidifying a symbiotic relationship that promises to benefit both entities and the audio industry as a whole.
