At CinemaCon 2024, Kaleidescape announced that it is expanding its reach into the cinema industry. The company is introducing an on-demand service for library titles, aiming to make classic and older films more readily available in theaters. This move seeks to tap into new revenue opportunities for both content creators and cinema operators by attracting a broader audience.

Priscilla Morgan, the Chief Operating Officer of Kaleidescape, points out the company's potential to enhance the cinema experience by making a wide range of content accessible on demand. This approach aims to utilize underused screens effectively, allowing cinema operators to offer diverse programming tailored to their audience's preferences.

As part of this initiative, Kaleidescape is set to provide theaters with its proprietary hardware, along with access to encrypted content. Theaters such as Alamo, Brenden, B&B Theatres, Cinema West, Classic Cinemas, Epic, Megaplex, and Star Cinema Grill are lined up to test this new service.

The system is designed to seamlessly fit into existing cinema setups, utilizing the current projectors and sound systems. The platform's vast selection of titles enables cinemas to offer a wider range of screenings, including movie marathons and special events, giving the movie goers the opportunity to enjoy beloved films and classics on the big screen.
