Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Ring, marking its entry into the smart ring market. This new product aims to integrate seamlessly with Samsung’s existing range of smartphones and wearables, offering health-tracking features. The launch was announced today at the Galaxy Unpacked event.


The Galaxy Ring, which Samsung has been teasing for several months, is a lightweight, sensor-equipped ring designed to provide continuous health monitoring. Below are some of the key features:


Sleep Monitoring: The Galaxy Ring tracks movements during sleep, sleep latency, heart and respiratory rates, and provides an analysis of sleep quality.


Menstrual Cycle Tracking: Utilizing skin temperature, the Galaxy Ring helps in monitoring menstrual cycles.


Heart Rate Monitoring: The ring can alert users when their heart rate is abnormally high or low and allows real-time heart rate checks.


Exercise Detection: It can identify various workouts and physical activities.

The Galaxy Ring weighs between 2.3 grams and 3 grams, depending on the size selected. It is available in black , silver and gold. Samsung claims the battery life of the Galaxy Ring can extend up to seven days. The ring comes with a portable charging case, similar to those used for wireless earbuds.


The Galaxy Ring will be available starting July 24, with prices starting at $399.99.
