Epson Expands Projector Lineup with High-Brightness Q-Series Models
Epson has introduced its latest lineup of high-brightness laser projectors, the Q-Series 4K 3LCD Laser Projectors. The Q-Series comprises three models: the QB1000, QL3000, and QL7000. Each model is equipped with Epson’s proprietary 4K 3LCD laser technology, providing a range of brightness levels from 3,300 lumens in the QB100, 6,000 lumens in the QL3000 and 10,000 lumens in the QL7000. These projectors utilize a 3-chip 3LCD design and are capable of displaying a full 8.29 million pixels on screens up to 300 inches.
The QL3000 and QL7000 models include features such as Epson’s 4K Display Technology, HDR10+ support, and Double Micro-Lens Array technology, which work in tandem to improve image clarity, color accuracy, and contrast. These models are also designed for integration into smart home systems, supporting major control platforms like Control4 and Crestron. The QL3000 and QL7000 are sold as "Body Only" units, allowing for customization with Epson’s range of High Precision Lenses to meet specific installation requirements.
The entry-level QB1000, while positioned at a lower price point, still incorporates key technologies such as UltraBlack and the QZX Picture Processor. The projector also features a 3-axis motorized lens shift, which allows for flexible installation.
Epson says all models in the Q-Series are designed to be virtually maintenance-free, with a 20,000-hour laser light source. They also support 4K HDR content at up to 120 Hz. Each model also comes with a 3-year limited warranty, including full unit replacement and free lifetime technical phone support.
Epson’s Q-Series projectors will be available in September 2024, with the QB1000 priced at $7,999, the QL3000 at $14,999, and the QL7000 at $29,999. These models will be on display at the upcoming CEDIA Expo in Denver, CO, from September 5-7, 2024.
